Hello everyone!

I just finished my latest sculpture, featuring a regent honeyeater. This critically endangered bird species from Australia is losing its song culture because there are so very few birds left in the wild. Not enough elders can teach their song culture to the young, which causes problems in mating.

For this one, I decided to use a pair of headphones that did break a while ago and that I was keeping for a sculpture.
Those headphones were a bright ultramarine blue which inspired the general color scheme of this artwork.
I specifically made this sculpture for an upcoming group show with Modern Eden in San Francisco, so if you can go see it in real, go ahead! Art is always best when experienced in real life, and I think that’s especially true with sculptures.

This artwork is available through Modern Eden Gallery in San Francisco.
You can view more pictures of it on my website as well.
