PRESS & PODCAST

Hello everyone!

I wanted to bunch up a few magazines and a podcast I’ve been recently featured in.
I’m very happy to have been featured in all of these and excited to share these with you :)

Beautiful Bizarre

This is certainly the feature I’m most excited about. Being featured in a renowned international art magazine.
It’s a sweet and short interview series named “snapshot” and I’m in the 34th issue, that is out now.
This magazine really pushed my career up, most notably through a yearly competition they do, where I was a finalist in their sculpture award in 2019.
Since then I knew they wanted to feature my work and it now is a reality :)

It’s a great art magazine, that has quickly found a spot next to the most known in contemporary art, next to Hi-Fructose or Juxtapoz. “Beautiful Bizarre” is Australian based but ships worldwide. It also has resellers all over the world.

You can grab a copy on their website or in other places, but be quick, they sell quickly!
They also have a digital magazine, that is available via protected PDF download via the BBM website and Magzter, a cross-platform global digital magazine newsstand and via the “beautiful bizarre” APP in iTunes App Store, Google Play, Windows Store etc.

Podcast

I have done a long winded interview with Lucie Struncova from “Polymer Week”.
We did the interview a few months back, but Lucie is not only managing the layout of the magazine and their PR, but also studying, so it took a while for her to edit and post the video.
If you have been looking for some podcasts to listen to while working, this is a fairly new project of hers, and I am certain you will find it entertaining!
Below the video format on Youtube and you can also find it on Spotify.

“Talking Point” - UK Coloured Pencil Society

A few months ago, while I was still working on my (mostly) colored pencil piece “Improved Desktop”. I did an in-depth search about colored pencil lightfastness.
And was quite surprised to find that a lot of my polychromos were in fact not lightfast. yaaay… not ^^’
I stumbled upon a great article about it from Judith Crown on pencil-topics.com. So if you are an artist looking into lightfastness I highly recommend checking it out!
In any case I did connect with Judith and we chit chatted back and forth and her advice proved very helpful.
She then offered me to write an article for the colored pencil magazine of the “UK Coloured Pencil Society”.

You can grab a copy on their website directly.

Fantasy Sculptures & Models - Kuang Chu

I was contacted by Kuang Chu a couple of years ago when this book was in the works and I received a copy of it just recently. It is a beautiful book with a selection of 20 sculptors around the world and I’m really proud of being part of this project.
However I have no clue where you can find the book or if it’s still in printing process and will be available soon.
If you find it however, I’d highly recommend the book. It’s a gorgeous edition, with in-depth interviews and detailed pictures.

Social Media?

On another note, I’m still on a break from Instagram. I don’t miss posting there at all, but I do mildly plan to posts whenever something is done.
I do check out other artists work on there sporadically and have been chatting with friends through the app, but posting there still feels daunting.
It’s going to sound weird, but just thinking about posting there makes me anxious. So I’ll post-pone it for now!

In any case, I hope you enjoy these features and if you are a magazine or podcast, don’t hesitate to reach out!
You can also see all the features in the “press” section of my “about”.
