A pair of Eurasian tits are sitting, chatting the day away on a beautiful wooden jewelry box.
Out of the box grows ivy and other nature inspired forms.

I have been thrifting small trinket and jewelry boxes and this beautiful wooden box ended up becoming a tiny habitat for blue and yellow Eurasian tits.
It is quite small, but full of details.
For the ivy leaves, I started by painting cotton paper in beautiful granulating washes of watercolor, then cur each tiny leaf my hand using an exacto knife.

I know we humans tend to be attracted to the animal first, but I usually spend more time creating the whole environment around an animal, as I believe this is the most crucial part, the home that needs to be protected so animals and plants alike can thrive.
